Tis the Season

Well, here it is, December – Christmas Time.  Many of my lessons here on Earth at this time have been centered around the teachings  of giving and receiving, so what better time of year to talk about these lessons than at Christmas time, the time of year when we are all thinking about giving and receiving.

As an Empath and Intuitive Healer my life has focused on giving.   Giving of my time, my wisdom, my healings, giving of my love, my money, and nearly every part of me that I could offer to others.  Very little of my life has been about receiving.  I never ask for anything in return when I give.  Indeed, I expect nothing in return.  And I never really thought that I needed to receive anything in return for my giving.  I was raised with the philosophy that “it is better to give than to receive”.  I now know better.  Yes, it is “good” to be a giver, but it is equally “good” to be a receiver.   A number of things happen when you open your heart to receiving.  Firstly, you begin to understand that you are worthy of the gifts that are offered to you, and that it feels just as good to receive as it is to give.

3 Oracles eMarket - Christmas season blog When we give, we feel good about ourselves, we feel excited about how a loved one will feel when they open a present that we put a lot of thought into, and we feel loved when they express how much they just love it.

When we receive, we offer the giver the gift of those feelings that we feel when we give.  When we refuse what is offered we deny the giver the opportunity to feel those feelings, we rob them of that experience, and we may be robbing them of learning the lessons that giving offer.

So when we practice both giving and receiving we are bringing balance into our lives and the lives
of others.  As well as learning lessons that are beneficial to both of us.

Happy Holidays and may you have as many opportunities to receive as you have to give.
